For many of you, Monday, July 14, may be the first time you've visited our site. Welcome!
The whole beauty of this new conference model is that we, in may ways, don't know what will happen, either! Let's face it: Google Hangouts may completely change by August 26th. We have no idea how many participants will want to get involved or what hangouts will be popular. And that's completely OK. We've prepared. We'll roll with it. It is our hope that not only will you learn the skills to interact with colleagues virtually, but that you will be empowered to continue to do so, all over the map, without hesitation that a virtual meet-and-greet will be a pain, take up too much time, or feel weird. Feel good about yourself: it takes courage the first time around! Our moderators are working hard on engaging questions to spark discussion, so really, there is no need to prepare, other than setting up your equipment. Bring your ideas, and something that makes you proud to work at your library. Maybe you started a new program at your library. Maybe you are laying the foundation for a new service. Or maybe you work with amazing people and want to talk about your team. Whatever it is, we want to hear it! Go #liboncon! LibOnCon Team
