Who is invited to participate in the Library OnConference? Any library professional who is interested in meeting other library professionals, sharing new ideas, and learning from one another!
If the conference is free, how do you operate? In the past, the Library OnConference has been completely volunteer-based. Everyone from the keynote speaker to the moderators to the organizers choose to do this because they are genuinely passionate about the future of libraries and the people who work in them. However, we are pleased to announce that in 2016, RAILS (Reaching Across Illinois Library System) has generously provided a grant to support the Library OnConference mission.
How do I use Google Hangouts? Google Hangouts is always adding new features, so definitely check this page. All you need is a computer, headphones, microphone, and a Google + account so you can access Google Hangouts.
How will the conference be organized? The conference will be held on Thursday, April 14. Presentations will be live and viewable throughout the day with optional, scheduled small group sessions for in-depth conversation & networking.
How much does it cost? The Library OnConference is free and always will be. If you decide you want to participate, we ask that you are committed to fully participating in the conference.
