In March 2014, we presented at PLA 2014's Spark Talks about using Google Hangouts On Air to livestream library programs to patrons. Using that same concept, we decided to create the first, ever virtual library conference completely held on Google Hangouts.
Unlike other virtual conferences and webinars where participants passively observe speakers, we wanted to create a model that was interactive and engaging. The small group hangout sessions led by moderators from various parts of the library field, encourage open communication, networking, and inspiration.
We are committed to creating a free conference experience for library professionals throughout the world. Our mission is to deliver quality information and networking opportunities that are sustainable and impactful. Learn more about Gwyneth Stupar and Barbara Alvarez.
